Weekend Link Up

Happy Monday?

UGH.

I hate Mondays, but I look forward to the Weekend Shenanigans Link up with Sami!

 



 

1. Like... Of course I loved on Winston the minute I got home from work on Friday..

 

2. Went to Pink Gma & Papa's House for a pizza party! Winston LOVED pink gma! Gma really completed the party with a homemade salad, deviled eggs & rice pudding!

 

3. Pink Gma's House, next to Disneyland, is the happiest place on earth. My favorite is sitting right in front of the fireplace.

 

4. Pizza party with Papa. Don't mind the food on his shirt.. haha

 

5. Saturday afternoon I was required to do absolutely nothing. I cleaned, (love cleaning..) played with Winston, went to Keva Juice & Great Harvest... then laid on the couch.

 

6. Winston helped me clip coupons. And by "clip coupons" I mean shred paper to make a bigger mess for me to clean up.

 

7. We went to the WXHS Baseball Dinner Banquet with Josh & Kiersten to support Jake Brown. (go Jake!)

 

8. At the Banquet we got to listen to the 2001 World Series Champion pitcher for the Dodgers! Pretty cool... (and suuuch a sweet vest he's got on there..)

 

 

We also caught up on The Walking Dead (so intense!)

Had birthday Cake for J's Birthday (HAPPY BIRTHDAY TODAY JOSH!)

& Made our own Harlem Shake Videos.

Friday's Fab 5

FIRST OF ALL,

HAPPY FRIDAAAY!

I swear the full week back to work after having a short week for a holiday is always the worst. It feels like the week doubles. Maybe even triples.

Today I'm linking up with one of my home girls- Elle (or Lindsey..) from Life on Countryside. You'll be hearing a lot more about this girl because we are quickly becoming friends & I love her.

 

FIVE THINGS I THINK ARE FAB

 

1. My Cosmopolitan Magazines.

Everything in this magazine is pink & sparkly- there's awesome pictures & smell good samples. Beauty tips & much much MUUUCh more. What's not to like? Cozied up on the couch with my cabin socks on- cosmo on lap. Life is goooooooood.

 

 

2. Pickles.

Lately I've been craving these suckers like a pregnant woman. Don't you fret though. After my post yesterday, I am most definitely not pregnant.

We went to Jimmy John's the other night, & ALL I WANTED was a big pickle.

Pickles for dinner. That is all.

I also sang the pickle song from The Little Rascals while I ate it.  

 

 

3. Julep Maven Quick Dry Polish Drops

If you still have not signed up for Julep Maven.. what the H-E-double hockey sticks are you waiting for. Seriously? You can sign up HERE 

These quick dry drops make painting my nails not such a pain in my butt. I hate it when my nails are wet for the next 3 minutes. And if you are anything like me.. ain't nobody got time for that.

You paint your nails & while they are still wet, use the little dropper to put some of this on your wet nails and IMMEDIATELY they are dry! Not kidding. Best invention EVER.

 

 

4. This Video.

Weekend in Review

This is OFFICIALLY post #200!

Too bad it's not very exciting. What better way to celebrate post #200 than with my boring Weekend Review!

 

Today I'm linking up with Sami for Weekend Shenanigans!

 

1. I got a package from Little Sissy! Coconut Peanut Butter, Chocolate covered Macadamia Nuts & Pineapple Pancake Mix. (The life of living in Hawaii........*sigh*...)

 

2. I shared an apple with Winnie. (More like.. he stole some apple from my plate..)

 

3. Watched The Longest Yard with Winnie (& Spencer..)

 

4. When I got bored of the movie I made Winston a Unicorn Bunny

 

5. Had a killer work out at the gym- then came home and ruined it by eating Pineapple Pancakes. With extra butter. And I don't even feel bad about it.

 

6. Got bundled up venture out in the snow to make it to my hair appointment.

 

7. Before picture (my hair is not growing in gray.. that's blonde you see there..)

CLEARLY I was past due for gettin' ma hurr done..

 

8. After picture. My hair girl is the SHIZ. I won't feel bad if any of you want her number.

I loooveee my new hair! (Are you guys sick of my selfies yet??)

 

9. A fried of mine posted about an awesome app so I tried it.

Now my homepage looks like THIS. Chevron, pink & animal print. It's perfect.

 

10. I snap chatted with my sister all weekend.. Here is one of my better snaps with moose antlers from the giant moose behind me hanging gracefully over the dinner table at my parents house.

 

SOO.. as you can see it was a pretty uneventful weekend.

Sometimes I like those the best.

The TRUTH comes out!

Thanks to everyone who played along yesterday with the 2 truths & a LIE!

It was so fun to read everyone else's posts who linked up trying to guess what their lie was!

 

THE TRUTH COMES OUT!

 

1. If I followed all rules and regulations for car seats/booster seats, I would have been in a booster seat at 16 with my driver's license

TRUTH! Here I am a week before my 16th birthday & I did NOT meet the weight requirements to technically not be in a booster seat!

 

 

2. When I was 12 I was riding my bike & got hit by a car- If you've ever noticed the scar on my forehead that's what it is from!

 

FALSE. I did NOT get in a bike/car accident when I was 12.
(surprisingly..) Yesterday one of the comments said she couldn't see a scar on my forehead. There isn't one!  :)

 

 

3. After High School I had my nose pierced. I liked it, my mom thought it was disgusting.

TRUTH! hahaha

Here I am all tanned up with Haley (& my nose stud)

Super small you can hardly tell.. It was short lived and I'm sure my mom is thankful for that.

 

SO, for those of you who guessed #2 as FALSE!

YOU ARE RIGHT!!

 

I'm excited to find out other people's lies today!

Fact Link-Up

I always love reading informative posts about other bloggers.

 I love filling them out as well, which is why I'm linking up to the lovely Whitney's blog over at I Wore Yoga Pants to Work!

 FACT:
I absolutely hate showering.
ehh, let me rephrase. I absolutely hate washing my hair.
It takes WAY too long to half air-dry, half blow dry, then straighten..
& don't even think I can get away with not flat-ironing my hair.
My bangs look like ruffled bird feathers if I don't.
It's not pretty.

If I was bald, I'd love showering to wash my hair.
Dry shampoo, baby powder & baseball hats are my bff's.

FACT:
One of my biggest pet peeves is when someone jumps in a convo and gives their two cents.
Like..... I'm sorry, I wasn't talking to you..??
Mostly this happens when I'm at work & unfortunately it's not socially acceptable to punch someone in the work place.

FACT:
I love buying new clothes.
But I don't like to wear them right away. I let them sit in my closet for days, weeks even months sometimes before I will take them out to wear them.
I like to keep the new-factor to last as long as possible.

FACT:
One time I ran into Vanessa Hudgens and Ashley Tisdale at the mall in SLC.
I literally turned into one of those crazed fans that screams and yells.
They both ran.
Not a proud moment.


FACT:
Spencer and I go through weird watching-TV-series phases.
So far we've watched all of The Walking Dead, My Name is Earl, Arrested Development, Friday Night Lights, Parks and Rec, Prison Break, season 1-2 of Modern Family...
..I'm sure I'm missing a few..
what can I say, we like our shows.

FACT:
I don't like anything cold on my teeth.
ouuuucccchhhh!
cold air, cold water, ice, Popsicles, ice cream...
If you are one of those people that can bite your ice cream, you make me cringe!

FACT:
I get hangry really bad.
(Angry from being so hungry..)

 

FACT:

Fact is.. I hate this saying.

 ...Well CLEARLY I'm not a dog...

But if rewarding myself with a donut after an hour of body combat is wrong, then baby I don't want to be right!
