Video Montageeeeeeee

Whelp, I was looking through my camera and found a lot of shaky footage of family and friends from my trip back to the States and thought I'd share a smile with you. Obviously I didn't have my camera handy every time someone said something funny or a moment was made, but I nevertheless think this is a decent record of what went on and where.
After experimentally posting it directly in blogger because youtube (no capital for you!) decided that the third party content I used as a soundscape counts as property infringement, I've opened an account with vimeo and there hasn't been trouble yet.
When you consider that less than 100 people are likely to see this video and that some of them may be moved to buy the music, it becomes obvious why both youtube and that record label need to slow their roll. But since they want to set their ringtone to scorched earth, I will gladly light my blow torch.

Kickstarter Video Blog

When Gameboy joined Captain N the Gamemater's team, even I couldn't ignore that I was probably just watching a 22 minute commercial. And yet... If you didn't watch Captain N, you really missed out. Sometimes they went all the way to Hyrule to thwart King Hippo and Mother Brain.
It's not too late to catch up on your childhood.

Three T-Shirts and the Road to Here

I just checked the date on this milk and it turns out I haven't posted a video blog since the Hollande election back in May.

Admittedly, this post is inspired by a mastercard commercial I can't find on youtube wherein an adventurous wife drags her homesick counterpart off to China but remembers his vintage tee shirt collection...pricelessness? 

I really wish I could find the original clip. If I'm not mistaken it alluded strongly to the the abject truth that Americans tower over all Chinese people.

But seriously, you didn't see the husband's face once and he was always bumping into stuff. In the analogy, I mean, even though I did drag my husband off to a strange and exotic place, (mdr) I'm also the one who packed my own clothes...much to Seb's dismay.

Atanyrate, here is a video blog post about my favorite tee shirts, with a little bit about my life when I got them and a lot about why I love music. Oh, and one last thing--I equalized the sound for this video with laptop speakers, but it honestly sounds so much better with headphones, your choice.

 Fun fact: the junior I mention in the intro was/is a real person. He actually tried to say, "Hi," to me once, but I was blowing my noes at the time.. So, after checking behind me to see who he was really talking to, I took a quick lap around the station in search of a trash can...
At least I'm cool online.

Have you ever taken one of those quizzes that were all over myspace and live journal? Of course you have. I even designed one and sent it off to all of my friends via email. For the sake of brevity, let's just say they're so fun that I still love doing them!

New Video Blog Post! This one has a twist of something rouge. Normally, I talk a lot to the viewer but my communication with you this go round is mostly non-verbal. In way, this is almost more intimate-- and I think you'll feel included if you watch out for that. Surliness as a defense, times half joking, just gets me unfriended--so, I'll get to the point. Sebastien and I made a video documenting the playing of a turned based, table-top strategy game, using his  new units and rules. Big pay off at the end, hope you like it :)

Also, we've decided to take trip the third week of August to Budapest. There shall surely be some new chips to discover for the Chipster and if I ever come out of the Turkish bath, I may post a picture or two...

Well, well well, internets, what have we here...

It's been crazy lately! Sebastien's parents came to town, as did his aunt and uncle. Matt and Tara were around for a spell. I started a new job last week AND I leave for Tunisia on Monday morning. This smells like a photo opportunity!

You'll probably see pictures soon, but I met a new rucksack. Yeah, picked him up for 10 Euros. Down on his lot. Hanging out in an ally. I knew as soon as I saw him though that we were going to go places together.

Finally had my first Fete de la Musique on Tuesday, too.  It was the thing I wanted most to see when France first started filling my imagination. It's hard to believe that my adventures here might come to a screeching halt on the 4th when I try to reenter France. But if they do, I have to remind myself that I've learned so much, and I've come so far with French. Lets see where fate takes me next. Cuz I'ma be on time when my stars align. -Cudi
