On Their Way to See the LPGAIn addition to rubbing elbows with celebrities, partying at the Harrah's Pool, and enjoying a round of golf at the Atlantic City Country Club, the main reason for the Ron Jaworski Celebrity Golf Challenge (RJCGC) is to raise money for the Jaws Youth Playbook.
This year the RJCGC has the perfect partner as it teamed up with the ShopRite LPGA Classic at Seaview Resort (Galloway, NJ) to put on Saturday's clinic for some of those who benefit from the foundation. 150 kids were on hand, to not only get tips from professional players Heather Bowie Young, Jennie Lee and Alison Whitaker, but to also learn some life lessons.
The pros showed the crowd the fundamentals, while dazzling them with trick shots as well. The kids were thrilled with all the action and Jaws continues to be impressed and overwhelmed with the generosity of those who support his mission.
To date, the Jaws Youth Playbook (formerly Jaws Youth Fund) has raised more than $3 million in this it's 27th year.
The ShopRite Classic continues Sunday with third round play, as Young and Lee still in the running for this year's title.
